Welcome to the Cairde Festival 2011
Join us for this year's Cairde Summer festival from July 3rd to 10th! There's a great range of events including theatre, dance, music, visual art and lots of outdoor street entertainemnt. Tickets are on sale now, browse the event guide, buy tickets through our website or drop into Sligo tourist office on Temple Street.
Highlights this year include: The Shelley River Boat Race - a great street (river!) spectacle featuring a model boat race; a rare musical treat which brings together Tibetan Singer Yungchen Lhamo in concert with Donal Lunny; Total Theatre Award winner, Bunk Puppets with Sticks Stone and Broken Bones; bluegrass band Tupelo, Rhythms of the City Park fest a day long celebration of music and street theatre in Sligo's Peace Park. and much more.
Cairde also runs Concerts in Care where concerts and performances take place in care settings all around Sligo, so everyone really can participate in the celebration.
