Author and activist Dr. Rosaleen McDonagh will present a reading from recent work looking at the Traveller characters that wander across the pages and stages of the State.

As a work in progress, McDonagh responds to the writing of for example Lady Gregory, Douglas Hyde, James Stephens and John Millington Synge. Writers who have utilised or explored the themes and anxieties towards Travellers which have been constructed from non-Traveller perspectives. The reading will be followed by a discussion with Rosaleen, hosted by writer Michael Harding.

Throughout the festival the Public Library will host a reference shelf of books relating to Irish Travellers.
