Artist Development Programme

Cairde works year-round with artists to support exploration and creation. Alongside Unveiled, the following residencies are underway. 

Barbarian 
An evolving project by theatre maker Bob Kelly and choreographer Diarmuid Armstrong, set in a rural Garda Barracks, exploring masculinity, family and authority. 

Supported collaboratively with Hawk’s Well Theatre 

Perpetual Motion 
Composer Claudia Schwab, artist Raphaël Decoster and visual artist-dancer Kate Wilson explore fragility and the body in a confined, circular paper space, creating a dialogue between lines, music and movement. 

IRIS Residency 
An international partnership with Earagail Arts Festival, FiraTàrrega and ISACS Network, supported by the Arts Council. Kristyn Fontanella and Rob Heaslip are developing outdoor work. Kristyn will share Miss Mary as part of the project. 

Cairde will host ‘Nurturing Connections’ - a panel talk on developing relationships with producers, partners and creative collaborators in partnership with Promenade and ATU Sligo.
