As part of Cairde Sligo Arts Festival 2025, we’re delighted to welcome a dynamic group of experienced fiction writers to a week-long workshop in Sligo. This intimate workshop is led by acclaimed Irish author Sean O’Reilly – author of the short story collection Curfew (2000) and the novels Love and Sleep (2002), The Swing of Things (2004), Watermark (2005) and Levitation (2017). Over the course of the week, participants are sharing works-in-progress, offering and receiving constructive feedback, and honing their craft in a focused, collaborative setting. Writers are encouraged to develop a new piece during the workshop, fostering fresh ideas and perspectives alongside peer and mentor guidance. This special gathering is a celebration of process, voice and the evolving art of fiction writing.
