Our audience assembles in Queen Maeve Square and will be taken on a journey, often passing through an unknown alleyway - a quiet vein of the city, often overlooked. Through acrobatic movement and story, the company rekindles these hidden places, turning them into living stages. 

Coming out of the alleyway, the audience follows a looping path, unknown to where the performers will take them, but in the end returning to where they began - changed by what they’ve been part of. 

A Stroll on Our Shoulders is a collaborative project between Cikada Circus (Ali Stanger & Henrik Gard) and Duo Les Mains en L’Air (Pauline Talon & Liam Carmody). The show was created and commissioned by Festival of Fools and Ulster Presents and later received creation support from Cairde Sligo Arts Festival in partnership with Festival of Fools, through Creative Sligo’s Shared Island programme
